Practicing Ving Tsun Kung Fu helps your child to develop Self-Defense skills, Self-Discipline, and Self-Confidence!  Our classes encourage personal growth and promote physical fitness. Practice of kung fu also helps practitioners to maintain a healthy body weight, and  improve hand-eye coordination – not to mention whole body coordination!

Your child does not need to have any previous martial arts experience to excel in our program. Ving Tsun teaches us how to not use force against force and does not rely on size or strength, which makes it perfect for kids.  Ving Tsun Kung Fu is all about technique -and it’s fun to practice too!

Our average class size is about 10 students – large enough for your child to enjoy practicing with classmates and still get plenty of individual attention. This includes our “Advanced” classes for students who have been practicing a year or more.  We are committed to providing our Young Masters with the highest quality martial art education and experience.

All of our Young Masters know their Student Creed, which you can read below.  We recite our creed together as part of class to always remind ourselves to strive for excellence in our practice, at home and in our community and as human beings.

Moy Yat Kung Fu Student Creed

I study kung fu to develop myself in a mental and physical manner.

I will avoid anything that will reduce my growth and health.

I study kung fu to develop self-discipline.

I will being out the best in myself and others.

I study kung fu for use that is constructive and defensive,

to help myself, my nation, and my global friends.

We offer year-round open enrollment in our Young Masters Program. The training year is divided into 3 semester segments based on the academic calendar: Spring, Summer and Fall.

Our Spring and Fall semester closings are marked by a week of “Rank-Up” exams. These are individual appointments that your child has with their Sifu (master instructor) to ensure that they are on track and moving forward in their pursuit of Ving Tsun kung fu mastery!

We conclude the exam week with a Graduation Ceremony that honors each child’s individual achievements with certificates, training challenge awards, special honors, “forms” Rank Bar Patches and a new Rank -up t-shirt.

Our Young Masters ranking system is the coolest around – the kids love working hard each semester to earn their special patches and awesome t-shirts as they work their way through the our Ving Tsun Young Masters curriculum!

At the end of every semester we celebrate together and enjoy the company of our classmates.  We have fun activities like roller skating or even visiting a local water park. But even more exciting is the news that we offer not only our regular training program, we also have our highly acclaimed one-of-a-kind “Kung Fu & Art Kids Camp” which every summer offers new and unique combinations of lessons in fine art, Chinese culture and physical kung fu practice. There’s no better way to spend a summer!
