Our second semester for 2009 has just ended, and it’s been exciting. At the camp, our top quality martial arts training is blended with a wide variety of arts and crafts projects to provide a full spectrum of entertaining and educational activities for the duration of the camp. It’s a great way to keep kids in action during the summer, as well as an excellent opportunity to try out our kids program.
We have lots of pictures from this year’s adventures, so there’s lots to see! Let’s look…

Mountain Puppet Show Script, Version 1
Hershey (Selena): The title of our show today is “Climbing The Big Mountain Of Kung Fu”
Hershey (Selena): My name is Hershey. Me and my friends have learned a few things about what it takes to climb our kung fu mountain – like TEAMWORK, to TRAIN our kung fu a lot and PERSERVERE even when things get hard, to have STRONG CHARACTER, SELF-DISCIPLINE and of course COMPASSION.
Today you will meet some of my kung fu friends – we study and practice our kung fu together and the have some things they want to share with you about what they think they need to do to climb their kung fu mountain.
This is my friend Flower (Avery)! What do you think Flower?
Flower (Avery): Things get done faster when you work as a team!
Hershey (Selena): How about you Pandy (Alia)?
Pandy (Alia): I can do whats right!
Hershey (Selena): How about you Blinky (Townes)?
Blinky (Townes): You can do it – don’t give up!
Hershey (Selena): What do you think Slinky (Selena):?
Hershey (Selena): Things get done faster when you work as a team!
Hershey (Selena): How about you Bamboo (Avery)?
Bamboo (Avery): Believe in yourself!

Jake (Jonas): “Good Morning, Sifu!”
Wreck (Jonas): “Hello Students.”
Ken (Adam): “What are you doing here Sigung?”
Wreck (Jonas): “I’d like to talk to you about your students.”
Ken (Adam): “Ok.”
Ken & Wreck (Adam & Jonas): (whisper whisper climb whisper friend whisper whisper whisper level)
Ken (Adam): “Ok then.”
Ken (Adam): “Jake, today you must climb the big mountain of kung fu.”
Jake (Jonas): “You mean that huge mountain over there?”
Ken (Adam): “Yes.”
Jake (Jonas): “Ok, then I better get going!”
Ken (Adam): “One more thing – you have to reach the top before the sun goes down.”
Jake (Adam): “Ok.”
Jake gets a little up the mountain.
Tar (Adam): “Hey Jake!”
Jake (Jonas): “Hey Tar!”
Jake (Jonas): “What are you doing here?”
Tar (Adam): “Looking for you. I got tickets to see Mega Dragon 4 and I thought you might want to go.”
Jake (Jonas): “Sorry but I’ve got to climb this mountain.”
Tar (Adam): “Ok, see ya!”
Jake gets a little farther up.
Pez (Adam): “Hey Jake!”
Jake (Jonas) “Hey Pez!”
Pez (Adam): “Guess what?”
Jake (Jonas): “What?”
Pez (Adam): “I won a four hundred dollar coupon to the worlds largest candy store!”
Jake (Jonas): “Really?”
Pez (Adam): ” Yah, and I want to split it with you.”
Jake (Jonas): “I’m really sorry but I’ve got to climb this mountain.”
Pez (Adam): ” Oh well. I’ll save you some chocolate covered chocolate sprinkle chocolate powdered chocolatey chocolate chocolate bombs.”
Jake gets to top.
Flamer (Adam): “Hello Jake!”
Jake (Jonas): ” Hello Great Grand Master Flamer!”
Flamer (Adam): “Because you have shown self-discipline I am appointing you to the next rank and I will now personally teach you all that I know!’
