The Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy Introductory Program teaches the fundamental training principles and practical applications of the Ving Tsun (pronounced ‘wing chun’) Kung Fu system. These are immediately useful for self-defense, and provide the foundation needed to master Ving Tsun Kung Fu. With training, even persons of smaller stature can effectively defend themselves against larger, stronger bullies and attackers.
See this article for more info about the Ving Tsun system of martial arts. Here you can read about Ving Tsun (wing chun) history and the Moy Tung lineage to Yim Ving Tsun and the Shaolin Temple in Southern China. For more info on the Intro Program, read on. Click here for a list of the techniques, principles and information taught in the Intro Program.
We have separate instructor-led classes for men, women, and kids and teens, so everyone can focus on kung fu. The same basic Ving Tsun Kung Fu principles and techniques are taught to everyone, but the information is delivered in ways and in classroom environments that best fit the student’s unique needs and interests.
The first lesson is private or semi-private – no more than 3 people. The Intro includes info on Ving Tsun history and our school’s lineage, plus a tour of the facilities, but the emphasis is on training, on learning through doing – training answers most questions.
In the second and third lessons, there’s review followed by a transition into the regular class, training with the other students under the supervision of the instructor. We also go over your goals for martial arts instruction, and explain our regular training programs. Here is a detailed list of the techniques, principles and information taught in the Intro Program.
If you’re interested in Ving Tsun (wing chun) Kung Fu or any martial arts training in Richmond, VA for self-defense or health and fitness, for men, women, kids or teens, the $49.95 ($120 value) Intro Program is a great way to start.
