New Kung Fu in Christiansburg, VA - Moy Tung student opens Ving Tsun school

Christiansburg, VA - A direct student of Grandmaster Anthony Moy Tung has opened a branch Ving Tsun Kung Fu school, NRV Kung Fu, in this small but growing city. With the founding of the new school by Sifu Urs Mueller, the scenic Appalachian mountains of southwestern Virginia are now home to three Moy Tung-lineage Ving Tsun Kung Fu schools, with the other two being run by MY4 member Sifu Herbie Holland of the Roanoke Kung Fu Academy, a disciple of Grandmaster Marcus Evans, disciple of Grandmaster Moy Tung.

Sifu Mueller began his Ving Tsun training under Moy Tung in 1991 in Richmond, VA and soon became his personal student and member of the MY3 Association, and after that a member of Grandmaster Moy Yat's Grand Special Student Association. Within a few years his career took him to the small town of Hot Springs, VA. On a regular basis he would bring Moy Tung up to the mountains for training and recreation, and over twenty people learned some Ving Tsun before Sifu Mueller moved out of state for his career. He continued to study Moy Yat Ving Tsun kung fu through forms and conditioning drills, and has now retired and moved back to the mountains of Virginia. Sifu Mueller has been running his program only a short time, but already has a few guys training.

Sifu Mueller says about Ving Tsun Kung Fu:

Ving Tsun is known for its use of centerline theory to create techniques which are simple, direct and efficient. [It] is a sensitivity based martial art that is also not strength based and is perfect for anyone of any body type.

You will learn balance, concentration, and self control while working on core strength and stamina.

Ving Tsun develops life skills such as discipline, perseverance, and self- sacrifice. Just like in training, limitations and weakness in other aspects of life can be conquered. This leads to confidence, greater well-being, and achievement in all aspects of life. Ving Tsun contains many other benefits, including improved relaxation, health, overall fitness, and respect for self and others.
