RVA Moy Yat Kung Fu anniversary training and banquet photos, part 2
Here are photos from the Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu anniversary week of training. Workshop training began Wed, April 28 and continued through Monday, May 2. Over 35 hours of training time was made available to workshop participants, and many trained more than 20-30 hours.
The heaviest training days were Saturday and Sunday, with training beginning at 10 am and ending at 230 am both days, with breaks for lunch and dinner. Many sifus and senior students present, some with more than 10, 20 and even 30 years of Moy Yat Kung Fu experience. Some students had only been training a few months; we recommend that beginners build a foundation in kung fu and increase training time as your kung fu grows, but if you want to do more and advance your progress - great!
Sifus and students from all the Richmond area schools participated - The Richmond Moy Yat Kung Fu Academy; the Academy of Kung Fu in the West End; the Elite Training Academy in Chesterfield; and River City Kung Fu in Southside. In addition, sifus and students from schools in other Virginia cities and from around the US visited for training: Christiansburg, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Milwaukee, WI; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Gaithersburg, MD; Minneapolis, MN; Denver, CO; Washington, DC; and Portland, ME. Detroit Kung Fu showed their respect as well.
